For a single alert we are getting multiple escalation calls by saying “alert is acknowledged, alert can’t be acknowledged.”

Where is it saying the alert can't be acknowledged? Can you post a screenshot of where you are seeing that message?
It sounds like the alert may already be acknowledged or in a state where it can't execute that action.
