Resolve Incidents Faster with Opsgenie Actions

If you're operating always-on services you know that responding quickly to problems and incidents is the key to customer happiness. Engineers need to quickly respond to alerts and prevent issues from becoming outages. Often, alerts can be easily resolved through simple changes to systems or network infrastructure. However, the manual intervention that these tasks require still take time and cause interruptions for on-call responders.

Enter Opsgenie Actions, Actions work with third-party tools to allow you to run scripts and playbooks via 3rd-party automation platforms. Just configure your 3rd-party automation solution as an action channel in Opsgenie.

This video gives a great overview of how to set up Actions and how they work. If you’d like to read more on the topic this blog post is also a great place to start.

Try them out and let us know what you think!

Really intrigued to see what people like about OpsGenie, how they're using it and what they don't ike about it.
At the AUG Chapter I run not many people are talking about. :'o(

The video looks awesome. It looks like you only natively support Amazon cloud for actions. There is the REST option as well, but that may or may not work depending upon how the API is setup. Any plans on adding other platforms?

Thanks for the comment @Davin Studer ! We are working on adding other platforms and will certainly be announcing them once we're further along. Stay tuned! :) Also feel free to suggest any that you think we ought to investigate as well.
