Jira Software - Issue - when adding clients to a specific team they can see ALL our projects, they must only be able to see their projects that we have set-up for that specific team.

We are on the Free version.

I know that by upgrading to the Standard version we'll be able to edit the roles. Would this resolve our issue?

Thank you.

Yes by subscribing to any paid version other than free will allow to create groups and roles to restrict the users to their project only.

You can also do much more with paid version.

Yes. Standard would be the way to go here.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Jira Software Free version had certain limitations, and one of them was limited permission control. In the Free version, you have limited control over user permissions and may not be able to fine-tune permissions to restrict users from seeing specific projects.

To achieve more granular permission control, including limiting what projects specific users or teams can see, you would typically need to upgrade to a paid version of Jira Software, such as Jira Software Standard or Jira Software Premium. The ability to control permissions and access to projects is more robust in these paid versions.

However, please note that Jira's features and pricing may have changed since my last knowledge update in September 2021. To get the most up-to-date information and to confirm whether upgrading to the Standard version will indeed resolve your issue, I recommend visiting the official Atlassian website or contacting their customer support. They can provide you with the latest information on the features and limitations of each Jira Software edition and help you choose the one that best suits your needs.
