Unable Add Jira users to watchlists

Hi Team,

I have recently joined a new org and trying to setup sprint based agile delivery routines.

As a part of this initiative, I wanted to implement seamless communication threads from within the JIRA tasks rather than allow team members to send separate emails for the JIRA tasks.

The watcher functionality doesn't seem to be working for some reason.

 

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Can you elaborate on "watcher functionality doesn't seem to be working". Are you unable to add users in watchers or are watchers not receiving emails?

If you are unable to add watchers, then you should check 'Manage Watcher' Permission for your project. You can add watchers only if you have permission to do so.

If they are not receiving emails, then you should check 'Notification scheme' applied for this project and check if watchers are added to receive emails on specific events you desire.
