Hi everyone. Just checking out Jira. Considering switch from Asana.

Does anyone have thoughts or experience in making the switch - good/bad... why?

thanks

Hey Marc,

every tools has its pros and cons. Jira is very cool software with big community. It is a bit hard to generally compare both tools, it is always better to find suitable software for your business needs and your processes. Both tools offers basicaly the same - project management and collaboration tool. :-)

Jira can be taken both as pretty standard solution these days as same as highly customizable solution for whatever needs you might have.

From my point of view, marketplace is one of the big ups for Jira.

Have a nice day!

Hi @Marc_Matyas ,

as Atlassian Vendor, we work with both Asana and Jira customers.

What I observe, is that plenty of companies likes to use both those tools - for them Asana works well for more business oriented people, and Jira for more technical ones.

Unfortunately, the native importer isn't working very well, same goes with exporting and importing CSV file (there are threads in the community about it).

As Getint.io, we have an app for both migration and integration of Asana, and Jira.

With the app you can just map the types and fields (including custom fields, attachments, comments, statuses) - and move tasks/issues. You can install the app both as SaaS and on-premise.

Here is the link to the app - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223932/getint-jira-asana-integration-sync?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

best,
