What is your best tip to newbie or tenured admins for JSM?

I have been using Jira Service Management since 2013, then called Jira Service Desk.

I work with very small and very large instances of JSM and love integrating Assets.

My tip is always start small and add to complement as you go. This goes for fields, workflows and probably everything else :)

What would your tip be?

Great topic, @Ciara TN! My suggestion would be to take Backups seriously and test your Restore process BEFORE you actually need it. <grin>

Nice topic @Ciara TN , I absolutely agree with @Susan Waldrip that backup is one of those measures that is important yet sometimes underestimated. With reliable backup you can have peace of mind that you work won't be lost and is protected from any event of failure because having backup means that you can restore your data from any point in time, eliminate data loss, and ensure continuous workflow.

Think ecosystem, not just a tool. Start  with JQL, then building custom dashboards and reports as well as simple automations, sync with Slack, import into Confluence, and play around end to end.
