I am a bit confused on customer in two different session. 


there is one area that you can add a customer. once it is added then i should go to project setting/people session to assign this users role as service desk customer?  service desk customer is unlimited and free correct?

Hello @William Chen (Merchants) whoever you add as a customer will end in the service desk customer role. They are the same thing in the end and you don't pay for those users
