Progressive alerts

we have monitors in place that monitor among other things disk space usage. They send emails when thresholds are hit. How do I create a ticket via basic text email for say 80% usage but not create a new / separate ticket when the threshold meets 85% or 90% etc? I would like to update the current ticket.
