Hello,
My office is testing out Jira Service Management (the free version) and we're trying to figure out how to have our issues generate ticket numbers.
Essentially, we're looking to use Jira as an internal ticketing system for us to keep track of various issues.
What ticket number are you looking at to generate? When you create a request it will automatically be assigned a key, which is the project key and a number. For example JSM-1, JSM-2 etc.
Thanks for your response. We're use to the typical ticketing system that generates an automatic ticket number.
However, maybe we're missing a step. When creating an issue we're not seeing any type of ticket or project key and number listed with the issue.
