I've set up a workflow and now I need to change things around a little. It included two approvals and was working fine.
But now that I'm going to edit it, I'm not seeing any way to change the destination or any information about the approval.
The workflow isn't active (I made a copy). I'm a full admin, so it's not permissions (and I created the workflow in the first place)
Am I losing it? What's the trick to adjusting the workflows without having to re-create transitions?
I figured it out. If I just pick "Edit" on the transition from the diagram view, it doesn't let me do much of anything.
But if I click on Post Functions, I get a screen with all the information on the transition, and from there I can edit more:
Hey @Mary Mascari
Thats normal actually. You cannot change or set the approval part is the workflow is not active.
You can set it active, edit it and then publish it, but until you make it an active workflow the parameters for approval won’t show up.

Ah - that's not super intuitive. Thanks!
Is that why I can't change the destinations of the transitions, too?

Normally you should be able to change the transitions even on an Inactive flow.
Do you get any error when you try to or it's just not allowing you to?

No. It only gives me the option to change the name, description, and screen. No way to change the destination status. I had to just create new transitions. Fortunately, I hadn't customized them too much.

Hi, @Mary Mascari !
As an alternative to building a flexible approval workflow try out the Business Process Manager add-on. My team has developed this plug-in to automate business processes, including approvals. So, you can create more than 2 approvals.

Glad you were able to figure it out and thanks for sharing your solution.
