I’m Nidhi, Sr. Product Manager on the Confluence team. Over the years, Confluence has adapted its capabilities to foster more collaboration and engagement amongst our users. But we know there is room to grow!

Help shape the future of Sharing in Confluence

What capabilities would you wish in Confluence to help you collaborate better with your team?

Specifically, among the below functionalities, which would you say is the top one that you and your team would benefit from:

• scheduled share: allows you to share a page at a specified future time
• ability to lock down or share specific parts within a page
• combined sharing and access management
• share within social like Share in Slack

We need more ILM and eDiscovery features within the native product.

@Nidhi Raj For ILM we need capability to:

• content includes pages, blogs, calendars, whiteboards, comments, attachments, etc. including all trash, drafts, published items.
• require additional metadata to (content classification, owner, etc.)
• identify content as formal records
• apply retention periods for records and prevent edit/deletion of records within the retention period
• automatically remove non-records after defined period of inactivity
• automatically remove records at end of retention period.
• identify content missing ILM metadata
• modify the blog page template
• remove ability to create blank pages (force use of templated page)

for eDiscovery we need capability to:

• freeze content (restrict edit/deletion of a space, a page, blog, calendar, whiteboard, etc.) for length of legal hold (restricting even space admins) and preserve metadata
• retain content beyond ILM period if legal hold is still active
• release content when legal hold ends
• export content including all metadata (modified by, modified date, history, etc.)
• ability to generate list of content on legal hold
