Thank you for participating in the experiment and providing feedback on Jira’s new navigation via the Chrome extension. This has given us critical insights to help us move into the next phase for the new navigation in Jira — the Early Access Program.
In the meantime, the Chrome extension is no longer available for new downloads or updates in the Chrome Web Store. Read on to understand what this means for you.
If you have the link to the Chrome extension, you may see it, and it’ll be read-only. If you haven’t downloaded the extension before, you won’t be able to download it now (even if you see it).
If you currently have the extension installed, you can continue using it. However, please note that the user experience will degrade as we’ve removed the support for the server code. Specifically, every sidebar link click will cause a full-page refresh.
We recommend removing the Chrome extension from the browser. When you do, you’ll return to the old navigation in Jira.

Based on the learnings, insights, and feedback we received from the Chrome experiment, we will launch an Early Access Program (EAP) later this year. Stay tuned for more updates as we work on rolling out the new navigation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us on the Navigation refresh group.
Regards,
The Jira Navigation team
