Update to Due Date Indicator app

Hi Atlassian Community,

Today, we are announcing an update to the Due Date Indicator app available on the Atlassian Marketplace.

The app is currently only available for Server, and available for free. However, due to the additional effort involved with providing support for Data Center, we will be charging a very nominal feel to cover the costs.

We aim to be sharing the results of our performance tests with Atlassian within 2 weeks. As per Atlassian guidelines, the app will be published 3 months from approval of the test results. You can expect to see the Marketplace listing live in approximately 4 months from the date of this announcement.

Below are a set of questions you may have. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any further queries. Our support portal is available at https://decreelabs.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3

Why are you announcing a DC version so late?

All of our customers were primarily Server customers. We did not have much of a demand for Data Center. With the recent announcements from Atlassian retiring the Server offering, many of our customers are moving to Cloud or Data Center. We are launching the DC update within 3 weeks after we received our first customer request.

Have you performance tested your apps?

We have completed performance testing and submitted our apps for approval using their official guidelines - https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/marketplace/dc-apps-performance-and-scale-testing/

It was tested against 2 million issues in a 1 node, 2 node and 3 node configuration.

Does this impact our pricing?

As part of the requirement for DC apps, we need to provide additional support levels, and run frequent performance tests for the apps. This comes at a cost and hence, there will be a cost to the plugin in Data Center and pricing will reflect that change. Hence, the app will no longer be available for free in Data Center. Please refer to our Marketplace listing for pricing information once available.

If you have any feedback on any of the above, or would like to suggest features and improvements, please contact us using our Service Desk at https://decreelabs.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3

We recently delivered Data Center compatibility to two of our other apps - Time Report and Project Roles. Take a look at the announcement here for more info - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Update-to-the-Time-Report-and-Project-Roles-Apps/m-p/1766349#M1655
