Setup Jira to get personal Microsoft Teams notifications

After your administrators connected Jira instance to your Microsoft Teams tenant you can proceed to the user profile menu in Jira and find there Microsoft Teams option.

Decide when you want to get notified

When you start creating rule for personal direct notifications from Move Work Forward with Jira Microsoft Teams app you need to decide when exactly you want to get notified. For instance, when I am mentioned in Jira issue comment or description or when the issue I am assigned to get some updates.

As a next step, you need to select the events you want to get notified about.

Filter down the amount of notifications

Select the project and other filters like issue type, priority, components or custom field filters to filter down the amount of notifications.

Configure the Microsoft Teams message content

After you configured the filters, optionally, you can configure the message content and name your rule.

When this is done, you will get Microsoft Teams notifications.
