Theme Extension for Jira Service Management Cloud has some new features to help improve the customization of the Customer Portal. These new features include Permissions and User Scopes ✅
Permissions allow you to control the visibility of Pages and page-related Items such as Projects (Customer Portals), Portal Groups (Request type groups), and individual Request types. This feature enables you to set restrictions on user access, with options such as All users with access, No access or Selected users. By setting permissions, you can ensure that only the right users have access to specific pages, projects or request types.
The Selected users option is particularly useful as it allows you to define particular Users, User Scopes, Groups or Organizations who can display your Page and page-related Items. This means that you can tailor the access restrictions to specific users or groups, providing a more personalized experience for your customers.
Another new feature is User Scopes, which is a time-saving option for access configuration. User Scopes allows you to combine Users, Groups, and Organizations into one Scope, which can then be used to facilitate the process of granting and revoking Permissions. This means that you can easily manage the access of multiple users and groups with a single scope, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.
