May the Force be with you. Along with consistency…

The Jedi were some of the most powerful people in the galaxy; both individually and as an organization. Their Order was a deciding force keeping hundreds of worlds at peace.

Yet, the downfall of their organization came from within. They themselves chose to onboard a certain promising Anakin Skywalker.

Now imagine what would have happened if the order would have kept to their procedures and taken Anakin’s age, as well as his inclination towards the dark side into consideration.

An entire intergalactic war could have been prevented with a simple checklist!

Yes, something as simple as a Jira checklist can enforce consistency and standardization in your processes. Our team, for example, uses checklists for establishing a unified process for posting, sourcing, and interviews. New hires always go through the necessary steps so that their onboarding within the company comes with as much clarity and comfort as possible.

More on the matter, standardization isn't something that’s limited to recruitment or onboarding. Engineers can use reliable checklists to ensure a consistent code review process, have clear ToDos and Definition of Done, or check their code against security threats. Legal teams can keep track of invoices or changes in regulations.

Therefore on this May 4th I'd like to say one thing to you: May the Force, as well as Consistency, be with you!
