How to track the status for issues by filtering conditions?

We already know in Jira the function Link Issues can help user to track the status for related/dependent issues. It's quite helpful and enough for most of cases when we need to track the work related.

Did you ever wondered how to track related issues by conditions? There are some cases you might want to track in this way. For example, the current issue is dependent on a release/fix-version of another project, or a component, even a customized label crossing any projects. It is hard to add issues one by one with the function Link Issue.

I'd like to introduce how this can be done in Jira and how can you create a job to track the related issues by conditions with the Stepwise Job plugin

How do you do in Jira today?

Today in Jira you can search by conditions to check the status for all the related issues. Saving as filter gives you a more convenient way to recall quickly later.

How to track issues by conditions in Stepwise Job?

For any existing issue, you can add one step to track related issues by conditions.

After saving the tracked issues will be displayed as one step in the panel view of the current issue.
