How to plan resources and track time visually in Jira

Hi Community 👋,

No matter what project you're working on, you need a way to plan and track your work. Not only do you need to allocate work and optimize the workload but also a way to track all of the moving pieces to keep things under control. There are some plugins for Jira aimed at solely planning resources that are good enough. But the main weak spot is that even though they help you plan ahead, they never let you see the real-time picture of what’s going on.

That’s why we’d like to share our win-win combination — resource planning + time tracking. Having a chance not only to plan work but also to see if your team is meeting your estimations so that you can always adjust to changes gives tremendous help in understanding how you are progressing. This beautiful combo is available to you with Planyway for Jira.

What you can do with Planyway for Jira

Resource planning:

  • Easily drag Jira issues from the backlog to assign work to your team
  • Get a visual representation of what your team is working on and when
  • See when someone is over or underloaded based on daily capacity
  • Optimize workload for the whole team on a single page

Time tracking:

  • Track time manually or with a timer in the List or Calendar time tracking views
  • Get notified when the actual time exceeds your estimation
  • Analyze team productivity based on time tracking reports
