How to Set Trello Dependencies

Wondering how to link cards in Trello and clearly see when one task can not be done without the other? Then, the Planyway power-up will come in handy!

Planyway lets you easily visualize your workflow on the timeline view and with the help of dependencies show links between Trello cards. You can set dependencies in a few steps:

Visualize cards on the timeline

Open the power-up and choose the best timeline view. It will show cards that are already scheduled in Trello automatically. Then, you can add new cards simply by dragging them from your board. You can group your timeline by members, lists, labels, and boards.

Create dependencies

Open any card on the timeline and choose which card it’s waiting on or blocking. Right after it, you’ll see a line linking both cards. When you reschedule cards, the dependency line will be saved.

If, for some reason, the dependency is ruined, it’ll be highlighted on the timeline.
