I'm the developer of the News for Confluence Cloud marketplace app.

Atlassian are making changes to Confluence Cloud to make it General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant, which will take effect on 29th April.

If you are using the feature to restrict who can feature blog posts on the news page but have not accessed the app's configuration page since the 1st March update, then as of the 29th those restrictions will no longer work.

However, you can reapply the restrictions again via the configuration page.

Note: If you access the configuration page before the GDPR changes are implemented by Atlassian and see a message that says:

Updating user details
For better GDPR compliance, usernames are being converted to account IDs.

then your configuration has automatically been migrated.

If you see a message that says:

Missing users
Some users listed could not validated and will be removed.

then the app was unable to automatically migrate your configuration, as one or more usernames currently set could not be matched to their new accounts IDs. In some cases, this may be because the user is no longer active.
