Explore Database Testing with QARAJ

QARAJ is an add-on that integrates Jira with QARA Enterprise – a test automation tool developed by The Digital Group – and adds advanced test management capability to the Jira interface. Among the many features that the QARAJ add-on offers, database testing is a key feature. The objective of the database testing functionality is to enable efficient database testing and to motivate database developers to use an automated testing framework. The advantages are given below.

  • Speeds up the cycle of testing, thus creating a room to test large data sets
  • Processes complex transactional behaviors
  • Enables flexible deployment and operational capabilities

To keep up with the deadlines and yet successfully achieve quality and productivity at the same time in today’s agile market, experts recommend the implementation of automation testing for database. Database testing is an integral part of QARAJ’s test process.

Database Comparison

Database Comparison offers considerable database availability checkup. The principal objective of database comparison operations is to check whether any server instances (e.g. Production, Testing, Staging, etc.) contain identical data.

Testers and QA engineers automate the comparison of two different data sets to verify the integrity of the data and ensure accurate reporting. Given below are the advantages of Database Comparison:

  • Running queries to look up if the data has been processed correctly or not
  • Detailed drill-down information for database testing errors and data divergence
  • Data mirroring with different data versions
  • Streamlined and accelerated data validation
  • Lesser data anomalies due to early detection of defects
  • Better reuse of test components, thus reducing time-to-market and simplifying the test management process. This creates quick and easy database validation solutions to authenticate various databases and their quality for further usage and analysis.
  • Validation of database server configuration
  • Verification of database server load
  • Determining and authenticating database end users

QARAJ is an add-on that integrates with Jira. The database testing functionality of QARAJ help in getting the testing team up with the database testing requirements in no time, overcoming several challenges they face with manual testing. It ensures the seamless functioning of the applications on a regular basis for the changes made in the database tested.
