Today I want to tell you about 3 reports and show how easy they can be visualized in Time in Status for Jira Cloud.

Time in Status report

This report shows how long the issue has spent in each workflow status

The time in status data that is displayed on the grid calculates in such a way:

For example, the task was in the To-Do status for 6 hours, then moved to the In Progress status. After a while, the task returned to the To-Do status and stayed there for 2 hours until it moved to another status. So the time in the To-Do status for this task is 8 hours.

The report calculation in the Charts view occurs during the chosen period. It counts the total time of the sample tasks in statuses. For example, on the 24th of May, 3 tasks out of 4 were in To-Do status for 1h, 2h, 3h. That’s why the time in the To-Do status for the 24th of May is 1h + 2h + 3h = 6h

Assignee time report

The Assignee time report shows the total time a particular assignee has been working on the issue. That’s why it’s especially useful for identifying who is responsible for the workflow delays.  It shows which assignee has been solving the task longer than it might be necessary.

The report calculation in the Charts view occurs during the chosen period. It counts the total time the sample of tasks has spent with the Assignee.
