Creating a multiselect field

Hello dear Atlassian Community,

I would like to create a multiselect field for statuses. However, I can't find any other option to do this besides using the ConfiForms macro and the field definition with the multiselect option, but then you need to record the answers and so on, it's just not that good. Is there any other option how to implement this? I just want the multiselect option in the editing view.
