I want to create an automation rule that would check all of the work logged within the epic and compare it to the Original Estimate field value of the epic (or the custom field that would represent the allocated monthly time for the epic), if the time value of all work logged is equal to or bigger than the Original Estimate, I want it to send me an email. (we use Tempo to log time)
You mention "or the custom field that would represent the allocated monthly time for the epic" - is this a time-based field? Or a number field?
Is using the Time Tracking fields an option in both parent and child?

Hi @Ste Wright , thank you very much for commenting!
I would love to have a time-based custom field, but unfortunately, I could not find such an option so it is currently a number-based field.
As for the Original estimate field, it is time-based and present both on the epic and the tickets within the epic. However, I could not hit the Original estimate field of the epic with the automation rule.
In a nutshell, any way of having an option to track the time spent across all of the tickets
within the epic and compare it with the time allocated for that epic would work for me.

Hi Zlatan,
Is this still something you need?
An option might be to...
I've not tested this yet but it seems the most viable - would you like me to look into it further?
