Created child tasks under an epic but the child tasks do not show up then on the Biggantt app. how can i get them to show up in the gnatt view?

You may want to ensure that they are in scope and you do not filter them out. Check in settings -> Tasks -> Scope Definition
Also, if you want to show them under the epics you need to set the hierarchy for subtasks or linked issues accordingly. It's not clear whether you meant child as subtasks or items that are linked to an epic via the Epic Link Name.
