Calculating priority automatically

Edited

Hello Guys,

i want to calculating the priority automatically in our Jira Cloud Projekt. We are running on the latest version.

i found this tutorials:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/automating-the-calculation-of-priority-based-on-impact-and-urgency-values-on-issue-creation-827107708.html

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/create-an-automation-rule-to-prioritize-your-service-desks-incident

But the point "Select Custom rule." is not there anymore (see attachment).

Can someone please help me?

Regards
Dominik

Hi Dominik

I don't see any attachments except the tutorial links.

There were some changes in wording I thinks.

Steps should be:

  • From your service project sidebar, select Project settings > Automation.
  • Select Create rule
  • Select trigger Issue created (when not availiable you should find it in search bar)
  • Click Save.
  • Set up when, if and then settings for your rule.
  • Click Save.

Hope it helps

Mike

Hi Mike,

hmm ok. Oh Thank you so much i understand. But now I'm getting nowhere here, unfortunately, makes no sense to me. Do you know which condition type i have to choose?

Hi Dominik

You have to use If/Else block, JQL condition and then Edit Issue Field.

I attached a simple example for first Condition to set Highest priority.

You should be able to create priority rule based on that.

After that simply continue with Else block

Hope it helps.
