Hi

Intro

I have a global team with members working in different projects, i.e. tasks with original estimates in several projects are assigned to one individual member of one global team.

In the Gantt module of program consisting of one of these projects in the resource paneI I see the assigned capacity with a color coding related to the tasks within the program/project only, whereas in the resource module I have the possibility to  switch on "Show overall assignment" and look at my capacity related to all assigned tasks over all projects I'm in.

Question(s)

Is there a way to have the color coding on the capacity in the resource view panel on the Gantt module to be based on the overall capacity, i.e. to reflect the overall workload of a person working in different projects?

Or do I need to work with different teams for different projects for the same person?

Or do I have a more basic misunderstanding :-) ?

Screenshots

Pic 1: Shows workload of me in specific project; here I like to switch the color coding to be based on my overall assignment in different projects (red instead of green in this case).

P2: Without "Show overall assignment" the project view looks at me as if my whole capacity defined in the global team is open to use for this project

P3: With "Show overall assignment" switched on I have the view of me based on all my assignments in all projects (but could be slow with lots of tasks...)

Hi @Frank Neidhöfer

Thank you for your very constructive feedback.
Your settings are correct. At the moment, there is no possibility to display a resource overall assignment on a Resource Panel on the Gantt chart. However, we are continuously working on BP improvement. I've discussed your feedback with our Product Management Team, and they decided to add it to our backlog.

Please follow the link of the feature request: ONE-2599 to be up to date with the functionality progress. Please note that it is best to open the link in the incognito tab of your browser.

Please note that we will now gather customer feedback to get the overall idea of the demand for such compatibility. When the feature demand is high, we will schedule it for implementation.

Hi Anna

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately, I'm able to look at ONE-2599 (ONE-32607) only, if I'm not logged in to your site. As far, as I'm logged in, I cannot find the issue anymore and, therefore, cannot vote for it :-O

Have a good day
Frank
