We’re excited to introduce the newest version of BigPicture! 

BigPicture 8.2 delivers better performance as well as improved user experience and more actionable insights. No more page reloading when switching between different modules and views of BigPicture. You can now navigate the app faster and way more smoothly.

What are the other improvements?

Get BigPicture right in your Jira projects.

BigPicture is now embedded in your Jira projects. You can use BigPicture full modules functionality and create new Programs directly from the Jira project menu bar.

Switch between modules and views truly friction-free

No more page reloading when switching between different modules and views of BigPicture. With improved Module Switcher, you can now navigate the app more agile and way easeful.

Edit inline dates across all key modules

Now, you can quickly modify dates associated with your work items by inline editing directly in all BigPicture modules. Update your projects in no time and forget about digging in Jira issue detail pages.

Create custom reports in BigPicture

Custom reports – from now on, you can smoothly generate various reports because they are entering the functional scope of BigPicture. Get access to relevant data and more functional insights to acquire meaningful outcomes.

Go beyond your standard charts and graphs.

Get a better view of cross-initiative teams’ dependencies,  review and manage dependencies between projects, and control threats proactively with comprehensive risk matrices. Get more insights to choose the best course of action and to complete goals easily.

Ensure the right skills are in place

Required skills in BigPicture are now synced with Jira fields. You can assign skills to tasks in bulk, automate skill assignment, and filter issues by skills required for smooth and timely project execution. Manage the demand for particular skills efficiently and optimize the resources allocation process.

Sync your BigPicture Cloud with Tempo

Jira Cloud users can now sync BigPicture with Tempo – a leading time tracking app. Until recently only available for Data Center and Server customers.

Use BigPicture gadgets in your Jira Cloud dashboard

Handy BigPicture gadgets are now available for Jira Cloud users. You can view your key management data and monitor the health of projects, departments, or specific processes right in the Jira dashboard.

Thank you for your feedback. It's much appreciated!

Regarding Embedded BigPicture in your Jira projects, please be informed that our Dev Teams have already identified and fixed the bug.

A fix will be available with the next patch to the 8.2 version, which should be rolled out before Christmas. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I am deeply interested in your feedback on the other functionalities.
