Relationships
Are Jiras limited relationship hierarchies (Epic Issues, linked Issues, Sub-tasks) holding you back? Custom Relationships allows you to create your own. Defining which issue types to use with as many levels as you need.

Lists of related Issues
You can also define your own custom lists of Issues to display. These can always be shown or just made available in a dropdown list so that you can display them at your convenience.

Oh shoot where was this 6 months ago when I needed it for a client! Good to know this exists. 

Couple questions, can you write JQL queries against these custom relationships? Also, are you planning to release a DC version?

I didn't know this app exists up until now but it does look very useful. Storing custom relationships information in properties looks like an elegant solution that also allows you to JQL, nice!
