Better PDF Exporter Cloud, the most versatile and flexible PDF exporter, and reporting app has recently undergone a major update. This fundamental overhaul was a step to create a common exporter platform, which also makes it easy to extend with new export formats.
Better PDF Exporter Cloud continues to be a PDF document exporter app of choice for a growing number of enterprises using Jira Cloud. To break away from the usual suspects of software, finance, or healthcare industries, we asked one of our customers working in manufacturing industry, to help introduce Better PDF Exporter.

Midori: Hey John! Your website is pretty intense for first sight with waterfalls, dragons, and... home interior designs. What does Cambria do, and what should we know about it?
John: Well, Cambria produces the world's finest quartz surfaces. These beautiful surface products are used in homes, offices, and even in sports stadiums. See some examples at www.cambriausa.com.
Midori: Why did you need Better PDF Exporter for Jira Cloud?
John: We have a number of groups using Jira. In particular, our R&D department uses Jira to manage production projects through the development cycle. They wanted to print cover sheets and labels for prototype surface designs based on the data already captured in Jira.
Better PDF Exporter provided the means to produce a PDF document and a separate PDF for label printing. It enables our Jira users to incorporate data already collected in Jira into printed documents to accompany prototype products being reviewed.
Midori: You had a special request for a PDF document layout and have worked on a custom template with our technical support team. What is the value you are getting from using the app?
John: I would estimate we would tie up 30 minutes of a Jira admin's time if we had to manually create the cover sheet we can now produce in 1 minute using the custom template from Midori. We probably save at least 5 hours per week.
I would love to show a sample of these documents, but Cambria and Midori entered into a non-disclosure agreement as part of this custom development. The cover sheets were designed explicitly for internal use of proposed new designs by our R&D team, so although we are happy with the layouts produced by Mate at Midori, I cannot share finished samples.
