Hey, Marketers! We're happy you're here!
We'd love to know a little more about what you're hoping to get out of this group so we can help facilitate specific discussions, learning opportunities, and experiences for all of you. We're eager to help you get the most out of your time spent here and make sure you keep wanting to come back for more!
To kick us off, here are a few things that are top of mind for me:
How about you? Let us know what you're hoping to experience in this group. We're excited to network with you and learn from you all!
As a person who is 100% involved in ecosystem marketing, I love to sync with other fellow marketers about our shared goals, struggles, and use cases.
I am a Confluence nerd, and my life is dedicated to building productive and valuable work environments for my team. We are heavy users of Jira and Confluence, and that's not very common for the regular marketing teams. I love to connect with other teams who are adopting Jira and Confluence for marketing and compare our usage :)
How marketplace vendors structure and build their app marketing
Atlassian fellas, you are probably aware you are making all of us miserable with the Google ad restrictions and trademarked content usage 🫠
That's why we must be very creative to market our tools properly.
And of course, meet fellow Confluence freaks 😍
I can't wait to see all the Confluence wisdom you drop in this group!
I'm so with you on all of these!!
Hey everyone! I'm such an Atlassian community noob, but I'm a quick learner.
I've joined this group to share ideas and to get a feel for the following;
- Marketplace Marketers (like me), I'm curious to know what works, what does not work in terms of content marketing, ads and of course, community engagement.
- Solution Partner Marketers, I'm curious also about how you do things.
- Any marketers - I'm SUPER curious about how you use Atlassian tools in your marketing. We are playing with the idea of using Jira for our content planning ( we already use it for all of our marketing task/project management).
Don't be shy to reach out if you want to chat.
We're happy you're here, @Stu Lees ️ REVYZ! Thanks for joining us in this group!
Regarding Jira for content planning, have you seen this template? https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/templates/content-management
I'm new to Jira and Confluence but I've used project management software for years -- from Smartsheet to Workfront to Asana (my favorite/longest tenure).
Now I work for a very small tech company that loves Jira and Confluence, so here I am! I am trying to ramp up quickly and understand how best to use these tools. Like, when should I use a checklist versus a subtask, etc.
I know these are powerful tools but I'm nervous about the learning curve. Where to start?
We're glad you're here, @Leigh Choate ! Welcome!
Have you had a chance to check out Atlassian University? Our Fundamentals courses might be a great place for you to start! Here are a couple of intro-style courses for Jira and Confluence:
And of course, if you have any specific questions, do feel free to drop them as a post in this group. Our Atlassian Marketers and other members in this group will have great suggestions and solutions!

Hi @Kristen Roth thanks for creating this thread!
I'm Cam! I'm the Marketing Program Manager/Agile Coach at a SAAS company who uses Jira (Software Project/Cloud) for Marketing project management/cross-functional collaboration.
I am so excited to find this thread! I have only ever used Community to ask one question before and got a resounding amount of replies in short time... today I asked my second question and am hoping for the same result.
I figured I would take a deeper dive to find out what else lives in Community and found this group. I'd love to get connected with other marketing teams to understand how they utilize Jira, learn more about features that might be game-changers for my org, and bring back best practices for my team!
All in all, excited to be here! Reach out if you'd like to connect sometime!
Hey, @Cameron Chase! So glad you found us here! Hope this group proves to be fruitful for you in terms of both networking and learning best practices. Is there anything in particular you're hoping to learn more about or are you just keen to learn general Jira tips and get ideas for how you and your team can better utilize it? Either way, we're excited you're here!
(Also - sorry for the delay! I was out at a conference last week and am just now getting caught up! 😅 )
