What role will you play?
As an Atlassian Operations Professional, you will strengthen our team and support the operations of our Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence environments that we run for a number of Siemens internal and external clients. You will be collaborating closely with the AWS infrastructure / Jira/Confluence administration team and the Service Owner.
Your new responsibilities:
- Bring your experience in running Atlassian products to ensure reliable and professional operation of Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
- Have a good understanding of the business process that is supported by Jira and Confluence
- Improve and adapt the set-up and configuration of the Atlassian products with evolving requirements
- Work with other team members to integrate Atlassian tools with other applications securely
- Consult and support the Service Owner and the Jira/Confluence team in expanding the Service
- Offering new use cases
- Coach the AWS and Jira/Confluence team on Atlassian-specific concepts and configurations
- Troubleshooting by evaluating logs to identify common problems, analyzing system resource utilization reports to evaluate likely causes for performance degradation
- Consult and help users apply Jira/Confluence for their business processes
We are looking for:
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations & support
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the area of Atlassian Software Suite (Jira, Confluence – DataCenter Edition)
- Experience with orchestration tools (Ansible)
- Experience in running Jira & Confluence on AWS
- Experience with web servers and Java setup and troubleshooting preferably Atlassian System Administration (Server) (ACP-500)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in working with virtual, globally distributed, multicultural teams remotely
- Written and spoken English on a proficient level is a must, additional language like German is a plus
- Experience and working knowledge of ITIL principles
- Interest in Cybersecurity topics, Cybersecurity training, and qualifications are a plus
- Experience with Identity Federation (SAML / OIDC)
