Hello All
I have a long list of part number with price. Is there a way that I import list list to Jira form as drop-down field. The list is long and will update quarterly; therefore, I can't create a custom field (too much workload). Instead, I just update the Google Sheet and Jira pull the data from this Google Sheet.
Please let me know if I'm not explain clearly.
Thanks.
Nam
Hi Nam,
I think you're asking whether the data from a dropdown field in Google Sheets can import to Jira. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I've seen Zapier integrations for Google Sheets + Jira that use JQL, but all the ones I've seen (e.g., Coefficient) create Jira tickets from Google Sheets or create Google Sheets records (or even dropdown fields) -- I haven't seen any that actually import dropdown selection data -- perhaps they exist. But I couldn't find any upon searching apps like Coefficient, which specialize in Google Sheets integrations.
If you aren't 100% tied to Google Sheets, you can explore spreadsheets that are designed to sync with Jira. Visor is one such spreadsheets that lets you push dropdown data fields (and other types of data) to Jira: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226209/visor-flexible-spreadsheet-for-jira-roadmapping-bulk-edits?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
I hope that helps!
