Why isn't there any useful rich text editor AddOn available in JIRA Cloud, like JEditor?
We've used the server version of JIRA and want to migrate to JIRA cloud. We need to layout a lot of issue descriptions in HTML and we are using the JEditor AddOn for that. Why isn't there any usable rich text editor AddOn available in JIRA Cloud which can handle these HTML contents? Simple Editor is no choice, because it just has really limited functionality.
I noticed the same thing and was really disappointed. JIRA Server recently added the rich text editor as a default part of the product too. I'm surprised Cloud is missing it! What is up with that!? Not impressed.

Hi @Nabil
I looked up https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-8943. That mentions the " WYSIWYG / Rich Text Editor'.
If you are referrring to "Simple Edit WYSIWYG editor for Jira Cloud" - That editor does NOT seem to pick-up JEditor formatting markups
See full details below.
( BTW - I stubmled on another useful discussion https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Move-to-Rich-Text-Editor-Jira-from-Jeditor-by-Bobronix/qaq-p/692058 )
I migrated from my on premise JIRA to cloud as follows
--> from Jira Server version (Jira v8.20.10 ) and JEditor ( Installed version: 3.10.6) to JIra CLoud
---> to JIRA cloud with the "Simple Edit WYSIWYG editor for Jira Cloud" Version: 1.2.40-AC installed
However with that markups that were used by the JEditor text are not causing text formatting - the markups are displayed in text as is -
