Hello Community,
I'm looking for advice how to add a custom field with display name of who has performed a transaction.
Appreciate any help.
BR,
Ivan
Hi there,
The easiest way I can think of is to add a post function to assign the issue to current user (the user who performed the transaction). Therefore, the assignee will be used as a such field.
Probably you can use the "Update Issue Custom Field" as well and select your user picker custom field to be edited with the current user, but never tried this.
Hope that helps,
Velio
Hi Velizar,
Thank you for the response but unfortunately it's not my use case.
Probably because it's Jira Cloud (however not sure if even in on-premise it'd insert a display name and not a login name), I've got some user id instead.
Probably it's matter of scripting...
BR,
Ivan
