You are calling and endpoint that does not exist.  You'll need to fix your code so that it calls one that does.

No the link is correct and ticket also exists.

Actually it's Jenkins plugin(jira-ext) and I am using this from the longtime. Suddenly it's stopped working from last two days.

@Ramesh- were you able to get thru this error... I'm also seeing the same error .. i'm using Jira URL as -https://jirafordemo99.atlassian.net

Error-

net.rcarz.jiraclient.JiraException: Failed to retrieve issue metadata

@Rohit_Ranjan in my case the issue with script-security plugin in Jenkins after downgrades that plugin Jira-ext plugin started working normal.

Like Rohit_Ranjan likes this

was there any plugin update made in Jira atlassian account or it was only in Jenkins set up?

No, the problem was that the wrong endpoint was being called.

net.rcarz.jiraclient.JiraException: Failed to retrieve issue metadata unable to find valid certification path to requested target ? can anyone help me with these issue

Your JVM does not have a certificate installed or loaded, one that would allow it to make the https connection.
