When a new issue is raised - appear on board rather than backlog

Edited

Hi Everyone,

I recently moved company and my team uses a next gen project in the form of a kanban board. At the moment, anyone across the business can raise Issues which appear directly in our backlog, is it possible to limit the permissions on who can raise Issues on the board and when they are raised they appear on a specific column on the board rather than the backlog?

Thanks

You can start first by creating a Project role for those specific users by changing their access to viewer (In the Permission, Project settings > Access ) to limit issue creation. However for Kanban Board, you will need to first ensure the issue is on the board which is not done during creation, so a manual process will still be applied here.

For new issues to be visible on KANBAN board, you can have a column in board itself and map it to the status of newly created issues. For example : if the status of issues created is 'new request' , you can map this status to a column in board.
