Sprint Volatility Reporting

We have an organization with about 800 JIRA projects.  One of the new Agile metrics being discussed is 'Sprint Volatility' or % change in scope during the sprint: [(# story points dropped + # story points added) / story points committed*]

Note: In this instance, 'story points committed' is NOT the same as the story points included at the start of the sprint, but rather the end result of story points committed, then removed and any added.

Do other organizations utilize this metric to manage their sprints and teams?

How is it actioned?

Will JIRA need to produce this value and if so, where would you want it to be included... within the Velocity Chart?

same question that I have, hoping ATLASSIAN will find ways to plot on this in JIRA environment so that we can easily use it.
