Slack: Preview JIRA links published by 3rdparty bot

We have a bot that regularly publishes links to issues in our Jira workspace to a slack channel.  

When a user publishes such a link the JIRA Cloud App resolves the link and shows a preview of the issue.

However, there is no possibility to connect a 3rdparty bot to the Jira workspace such that it can publish previews of the issues.

We tried https://api.slack.com/reference/messaging/link-unfurling with the bot but weren't able yet to figure out how to login to our JIRA workspace to access the issue with the bot.
