Notifications inside Jira UI

When I'm inside Confluence - I have access to this nice Notifications feature - which shows my Jira notifications.

However, when I'm inside Jira - I don't have access to it. Is this a setting that can be turned on?

It seems ridiculous that the notification feature is accessible in Confluence, but not in Jira; even though the notifications are about Jira related items.

totally agree...either I am not finding a way to see my jira notifications or this is a major oversight.  Right now I have to send everything to outlook and build rules to filter them by project and whether I am tagged or I have to keep confluence open in addition to JIRA.  It just makes no sense that I have to go to confluence or outlook to find jira tickets waiting for my response.

+1 - this is a massive oversight. Why are notifications no longer ubiqutubiq across Jira and confluence as they were in the old UI?

This new UI is very inconvenient.
