Dear all,
Currently i have a local jira instance (on premisses) server which has version v7.3.2 #73013
I have a new server available on which i would like to install jira v8.1.0. This server will be the new jira server for our company.
So, i need to 'export' from v7.3.2 and import it in to the new 8.1.0 jira evironment.
Is there any manual/procedure that describes how to 'migrate' the old version to the new version?
Thanks ,
Andre
Maybe also this one - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjira/preparing-for-jira-8-0-955171967.html
Thanks Petr for the information provided. I do not see that Ms SQLserver 2019 is supported, but i will give it a try :-)
I actually do not want to upgrade. I want to move the jira to a new jira 8 environment. What I want to do is:
install jira 8 in new environment
export ad import jira database to new environment (sql server 2019)
Link new jira version with database. Then jira will automatically 'upgrade' the DB.
Is this correct?
Almost yes, but don't forgot attachments.
Or what I can recommend is copy install and data dir from old server to new one and upgrade this instance.
