How should Jira handle merge commits in a pull request?

We are gathering impact for this public bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17313.

Explaining the issue here:

Scenario: You have a long running branch, let say TEST-1-feature associated with TEST-1 issue and you have multiple small work tickets TEST-2, TEST-3 so on..

You create separate branch for each small work tickets and merge them into TEST-1-feature branch one by one by opening separate pull requests.

When this long running branch is finally complete, you open a new pull request from TEST-1-feature into master.

So the question is, would you like to see this new Pull request only in TEST-1 issue or in all smaller work tickets such as TEST-2, TEST-3 etc.,
