File size for Jira Cloud vs Data Center

Hi, does the Data Center of Jira offer unlimited file size uploads like Jira cloud? Also, is the Reminder API available on Data Center?

Hi everyone,

In Jira, you can upload the attachment of the size allowed in your Jira Administration Settings.

  • Jira Data Center has a default limit of 10 MB. The maximum attachment size per file is 2 GB. Please refer to the Atlassian documentation for details.
  • Jira Cloud has a default limit (per file) of 10 MB. Please refer to the Atlassian documentation for details.

Jira admins can configure the maximum file size that can be uploaded in general settings. They apply to all Jira projects at once.I hope this helps. Also, if you're interested in advanced operations on attachments in Jira, you can have a look at the Smart Attachments for Jira app. With it, you can group and categorize files in Jira issues, track revisions, and run search.
