External User to Access Only specific Project and Sprint

Jira permission thing is super complex.

I am trying to do the :

1. Give access to Project "X"

2. Give access to Project X's Active Sprint

3. Prevent him to access or see any other projects or sprints

How do i do that please? Anyone have any suggestions?

You can add him to only a project pretty easily, but I can't think of a way to only add him to a sprint.  Permissions are managed at the project level--there are no permissions available for a sprint.

In order to only give him access to a project and nothing else can be tricky depending on how you chose to setup your other permissions.  If you granted the Browse Projects permissions to any logged in user, or public for example, then you won't be able to restrict his access.  What we did at my company is create a group that we use for internal employees and grant permissions to that group instead of some of the broader permission groups.  Then we create a group for externals that has more restricted access and specifically we have a consultants role to our projects that can be used to grant restricted access to a project.

Hope that helps!
