Deleting an initial status(Open) in the JIRA workflow?How do I delete it?Need reply at the earliest:-)

Hi @Priyanka Jain Dilip ,

You cannot delete status in active WF. Create copy WF, adjust it then change scheme in project. Jira should ask mapped issues to new status.

Hi @Priyanka Jain Dilip , 

The create issue process needs a status to go (Open or another status. ) 

If you need to delete the Open status from your Workflow , you will need to link the "Ceate" transition to an existing status in the workflow.

After that , you can delete Open status. BUT remember that ALL issues in that status will need to be transitioned to a new status (or existing. )

@Antonio Ferruz How can you link the create  transition to a new status?

When I click on edit, it does not allow me to change where 'Create' transition needs  point

Please help
