force jira automation to fail

Hi there,

as you know in case an jira automation (J4A) fails only the owner of the automation will be notified.

I am looking for a solution to notify the entire team instead. As already double checked with atlassian support for now the only option is to use a separate user. (please do not start a discussion if it make sense to sent the failed-info to the team !)

In order to test this correctly I need to cause an automation to fail

thanks in advance for your bug suggestions ^^

easy one:

just manual trigger and action to edit the issue field

here just use the JSON default  - only change is required at "custom field name" => changed it to "acceptance check" (which is an custom field in our environment)

There is an open suggestion to add group ownership of rules, which would allow notification on failures to the group:

Kind regards,

great ! thanks a lot for this info!
