Good Morning, I initially noticed that a 'done' item didnt have the strikethrough like they have before. The only thing thats changed from the last 'done ' item to today, is an added a status of 'Wont do' with a category of Done in also on the workflow. I cant seem to see the little tick box on board layout to annotate the resolution status- is this as ive two 'done' status now?

Hi Vicki

You need to add a Post Function to the new transition to Done that sets the Resolution field.

Thanks @John Funk  are you able to provide guidance for this? previously, i think ive always used the tick box on the status form the board settings, but this isnt available

Sure, click on the All transition to Done (the line that goes to Done). Then when the popup box comes up to the right, click on Post Functions.

Then click on Add Post Function

Then select Update Issue Field and click Add

Select the Resolution field. Then change the Field Value to Done.

Click the Add button.

Be sure to Publish the Workflow.

Then you should do the same thing with the Won't Do transition.

image.pngHi,

what if I'm not able to select field resolution on transition.

When I enter issues, I can see this field, I can filter and so on. But in workflow, I am not able to select this field at all.

Hi @Rafał Chochorowski

Looks like a Team-managed Project, is that correct?

If yes, there's only one Resolution available for TMP, which is "Done", set automatically when transitioning to the right-most column. There is a suggestion to allow more customisation in TMPs, see: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17499

---

The alternative for now in TMPs is to...

  • Create multiple "Done" statuses
  • Configure the Board to have all these statuses in the right-most column

@Vicki

In addition to what @John Funk said, also create a post function for each 'to do' (grey) and 'in progress' (blue) status that clears the resolution. Otherwise you'll end up with resolved issues in a non-resolved status (if they are re-opened)

this is a software project

Hi @Vicki

What type of Project is this - is it Company-managed or Team-managed?

And is it a Work Management or Software Project?

Hi @Vicki ,

Do you have a screenshot of the workflow of this issue?
And is there in the transition a postfunction configured to set de resolution?

See also the answer in this question.

Regards, Marco
