Hi,
How can we export individual projects in Jira server and also importing to other server instance ,Is it possible ?? Only possible way is through Linux commands??
Regards,
Suma
You can not export the single project however you can export whole xml backup from jira and then import the single project from the whole xml backup.
1. Export xml backup from Source Jira server
Admin > System > Backup System > Give the file name > Click on Backup Button
2. Backup will be store on file system in the <home dir>/export dir
3. Copy that xml backup to <home dir>/Import directory of Destination jira server where you want to import project
4. Go to the Project Import Option of Destination jira server
Admin > System > Project Import > Mention the backup file name > Click on Next.
5. Select the Project which you need to migrate > Click Next
Note - For this you need to make sure to copy all project related configuration like workflow, custom field, screen etc. to the destination jira and then perform this operation.

Another way is to CSV export and import CSV Import - If you have not too much of data then you can go with this approach
Another way third party plugin Project Configurator for Jira OR configuration manager for jira - Will not recommend for one time activity

Hello @Sachin Dhamale
Does importing a single project from entire backup will effect the already existing data in target instance?

There are multiple ways for project migrations across JIRA server instance:
Overall, project migration is not a direct process and requires a thorough risk assessment, proper planning and testing.
