Hi guys, is there any option for automatic change/update on workflow steps in Jira Service management issue, driven by manual change (e.g. issue is pushed to next step in workflow) in Jira Software?
E.G.
1) Received request "A" for support in Jira Service Management (first status "to do")
2) Request "A" is linked (blocked by) to User story "B" in Jira Software (i create the issue "B" in Jira SW by link from Jira SM)
3) Now (in Jira SW) i change status of User story "B" from "to do" into "in progress" -> i want this action to cause a change of status of issue "A" in Jira Service Management ("to do" -> "in progress") automatically.
I´m able to make automation within one space (Jira SW), but i donť know, how tu setup automation between linked issues in Jira SW (where i do an action) with effect on issue in Jira SM (where i want a change to be applied)
Dear Jan,
welcome to the Atlassian community. It is possible to create such an automation. I have a similar example in my system. Maybe this is over sophisticated but I really would like to make sure that I close the primary issue in the SD project as soon as the ITSM issue is transitioned to Done and not another arbitrarily linked issue.
Dear tokcum, thank You for your reply, i´ll test this approach (but it will take me a while:)
Thanks a lot,
Jan
