How to filter and customize Activity Stream Gadget for Jira [User guide + Good practices]

The Activity Stream Gadget presents a concise overview of recent activities within specific Jira projects or involving particular individuals that capture your interest. Think of it as a Facebook feed tailored for your instance!

How to configure Activity Stream Gadget ?

From your Dashboard, you’ll see a window with “Drag your gadgets here or add a new gadget”.

  1. Click on Add a Gadget

  2. Use the search bar to find “Activity Stream”

  3. Add it directly on your Dashboard

You can search and filter activity based on :

  1. Project
  2. Account ID (User)
  3. Activity
  4. Jira Issue Key
  5. Update Date
  6. Issue type

 

Use case

We configured the Activity Stream Gadget to display all issues and attachments created by the user 'Atlassway' in the Colored Label Manager project.

Constraints

Activity Stream restricts your ability to undertake the following actions:

  • See only what matters most

  • Tailor streams for each team, enabling users to focus on specific activities associated with filtered issues

  • Filter your activity feed by time range or any other custom field

  • Restrict your activity feed to issues related only to activities of certain users/groups

  • Make your dashboard more informative with color highlighting

Hello!  The "Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget" link does not work.

Hello @marion.husler , 

The link is updated and the app include more features now to analyze issue history, including transitions, comments, updated fields, work log edits, attachment changes, and other activities.

You mention "Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget serves as a valuable and free resource" - but this app is a paid app. Maybe this changed since this post was originally made?

Also, the app "Deep Activity - Issue Change History" isn't free either.

Or is the intent to mention that the apps are free for up to 10 users?

Would love any insight!
